How to get to Sárvár?
Sárvár has its own railway and bus stations, thus it is very easy to get to this town by community transport. Going there by car is not difficult, either: You need to drive from Budapest to Székesfehérvár on the M7 motorway, and from there you can get to Sárvár on the no. 86 and 84 highways.
Sights in Sárvár
It is very easy to find something to do in Sárvár, since there are lots of sights in the town. We highly recommend the Health and Wellness Spa of the town, which is a water world with a surface of over 4300 m2, with lots of pools, healing water and slides. And after bathing we suggest you leave the spa and go to discover the town, such unique sights as the famous Nádasdy Castle, the arboretum of almost ten hectares, or the Roman Catholic church devoted to King Saint Ladislaus, with a statue of Christ in front of it, made in 1701.
Events in Sárvár
Most of the major events in Sárvár are held in the inner courtyard of Nádasdy Castle, for example, the international folklore festival, an event with a history of fifteen years is held there. But you will find lots of other interesting programs here, including international wind band festivals and hussar meetings, as well as meetings of sung poetry in the spirits of Sebestyén Tinódi and History Days.
