How to get to Kalocsa?
Kalocsa is accessible from the direction of Kecskemét on route no. 54 and from the branching road of Kecel-Kalocsa, from Baja and Budapest route no. 51 should be taken, or from Szekszárd the new M9 motorway.
Sights of Kalocsa
The city is famous for its spice paprika processing, folk art (painting with flower motives) and wine production. What is more, a thermal bath has been operating in the city since 2002. The city is one of the four Roman Catholic Archbishop’s seats in Hungary. The most famous buildings in the city are the Archbishop’s Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the observatory.
