Eger, one of the most beautiful historic towns in North-Eastern Hungary, is a significant educational and cultural center. How to get there?

Eger can be reached from Budapest the most easily on the motorway M3 from where the Füzesabony junction leads to the town through Maklár, Nagytálya and Andornaktálya. From Miskolc one should also drive on the M3 motorway as far as Mezőköves from where the town can be reached through Andornaktálya. In addition, Eger can be accessed on the main road 24 from the Mátra hills and on the main rode 25 from Ózd. The town can be reached by train directly from Budapest by fast line or from Miskolc or Budapest by Intercity trains (change in Füzesabony) as well.
