The aim of the programme is to acquaint the visitors with the Hungarian organic products,
with food made from native Hungarian animals, drinks that are called Hungaricum, also to provide a wider range of programs within Gyula's touristic offer both for the citizens and for those visiting the town. During the three days of the feast the organizers offer high-standard entertaining
programmes for all age-groups. The guests visiting the feast are entertained with food preparing demonstrations, where they can try the food specialities that were composed by the chefs, using such native Hungarian animals like the Hungarian variety of sheep (called racka), the "cigája" sheep, the "mangalica" pig, the grey cattle.
On Saturday the main focus is on circles of friends when in the frame of the cooking competition "Mangalica food prepared in a stew-pot" they can prove how they handle the wooden spoon. 67 teams proved at the cooking competition which was first organized in 2007 that mangalica meat can be prepared spectacularly and in many ways: whether it is cooked with cabbage and beans or cranberry and jam.
